Pt(II) complexes as anticancer drugs

Projects

THE TOPIC

THE CASMedCHEM strategy

At present only few other platinum complexes have been approved, worldwide or locally, for anticancer therapy, besides cisplatin (namely, carboplatin, oxaliplatin, nedaplatin, lobaplatin, and heptaplatin).

To develop computational strategies to make easier the design of new Pt(II) derivatives more convenient than cisplatin.
